The Nursery

Eventually we want to create a room that is interesting and unique, fun and magical. Ideally we would like to paint these characters on the walls of nursery. We have also talked about framing some of these pictures to hang around to top 1/3rd of the room. I must say that I love the idea of trees growing from the bed and along the walls with characters hiding in some sort of a painted forest. I guess we will see how it goes!

We love classic children's book illustrations.

Especially those by Jesse Wilcox Smith (Nursery Rhymes and everything else she did),

Maurice Sendak (Night Kitchen and Where the Wild Things Are) I would love to make a three panel wooden screen with illustrations from this book.

First Steps

It currently seems that we won't have a nursery - at least not right away. That won't keep us from dreaming though! Check out the lovely (very large) bassinet we recently received. Sean was a little reluctant but once we decked it out in the bedding he fell in love with it.
